Bent Creek

From the 1998 Just Cross-Stitch Ornament Issue.  Stitched in 2010.  Finished as a flanged pillow ornament with fabric-covered buttons.  The lettering is stitched over one and the rest is over two threads.  Stitched in hand-dyed cotton floss.

"Hello My Name Is Hollybird!"

This was a kit, complete with pillow and all.  It's stitched on 32 count Belfast with Weeks (I think) thread.
It took about two hours to stitch, in June 2005.  Cute ornament!

I stitched this design for my Grandmother, Norma Jean Hansen. She loves black & white cows, and her house is filled with decorations centered around them. Believe me, it gets harder and harder to find cow pieces that she doesn't already have. So, of course I had to snap this one up. :) It's stitched on 32-count Blue evenweave over two threads using two strands floss. The floss is a mixture of Weeks Dye Works and DMC. I think it took me about a week to stitch, in the fall of 2003.

This design is stitched on 28-Count Cashel linen over two threads, using Weeks Dye Works floss. I was very pleased with the effect of the floss coloration.

I am about 95% sure that this design was a complimentary chart from Bent Creek. I stitched this about four years ago. It is DMC floss on Permin Linen. I finished into a paperweight.
