Sheepish Designs

"Frolicking Flowers Clam Shell Basket"

Stitched on 28-count linen from Zweigart over one linen thread.  Stitched using hand-dyed cotton floss in the following colors: Weeks Dye Works in Navy, Ivy, Sweetheart Rose, Squash, Angel Hair, Iris, and Americana.

Stitched in April - May 2010.  It took me about five days to stitch.  I would estimate 12 hours?  The design, when stitched over one, measures about 3.25" square.

"Angel Ornament"
This design is from the 2003 Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue Magazine. It is stitched on the recommended 35-count Midsummer night linen from R & R Reproductions. Instead of using Gentle Arts Sampler Floss, I used hand-dyed floss from The Dye is Cast in the following colors: Creme Brulle (face), Night Sky (eyes), Cinnamon Bark (hair), Crimson Tide (lips and cheeks), Hemlock (wreath backstitching), Ivy League (wreath), Golden Oak (wings edging and border), and Gold Rush (wings interior). The beads are 03033 from Mill Hill. I think this is really cute and I love the way it turned out. I stitched it on November 10th, 2004, and it took about three hours.

"My Sampler"
This is stitched on hand-dyed linen Lt. Espresso from R&R Reproductions. The threads are overdyed cotton floss from Crescent Colours. It was stitched and finished by me into a quilted wall hanging with a printed green fabric which coordinates with the sampler. It took me approximately twelve hours of stitching to complete this project in March 2003. I'll be honest and say I don't really like the way the colors turned out on this project, so I'll probably give it away of sell it. It's a little too yellow of a fabric for my taste.
